Connecting to Technical Support

To navigate the complexities of transition, access to quality and localized technical support is imperative. Technical support in the areas of reintegration, family tracing, and social work is needed to help organizations proceed with work that is based on best practices. Technical support providers ideally work within the same country or region, and therefore are familiar with the context and have local connections. It is important that the technical support providers have experience and expertise to orient the transition process, increase capacity of professionals, and establish the organization’s systems for future monitoring and placements.

Certain aspects of the transition process will require more technical support, however, the goal is to increase the internal capacity of the organization and incorporate learning into the programs for sustainability and longevity of the programs. Technical support can look like a formal agreement that is paid for or a more informal connection to provide support and advice. In most cases, organizations benefit from both of these kinds of agreements to ensure that professional technical support is readily available.
